On Saturday 11 November 2023, join the Remembrance Day service at Gayndah RSL Sub Branch to honour all who have served and sacrificed for their nation.
The 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month marks the anniversary of the Armistice that ended fighting with Germany in World War I. It’s a time for us to remember all who have given their lives in service, including in wars, conflicts and peacekeeping operations.
The Gayndah Remembrance Day ceremony will include the laying of wreaths, the playing of the Last Post, and the observance of a minute's silence at 11am.
RSL Queensland stands alongside veterans and their families across the country and recognises the invaluable contribution of Army, Navy and Air Force personnel.
Remembrance Day (11 November) is a very important occasion for all Australians. It holds special significance for the generation who endured World War I, particularly our veterans and for those who’s loved ones never returned.
At the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month, as a nation we pause for silent reflection and remembrance in honour of those who made the ultimate sacrifice in the defence of their country and to preserve the freedoms we now enjoy.
Please join members of Gayndah Sub Branch to reflect on the service and sacrifice of our veterans and to take a moment to observe one minute of silence at 11am on 11 November, in memory of those who died or suffered in all wars and armed conflicts.
